BELMONT REDS
We specialise in breeding Belmont Reds because we know they are ideal for northern Queensland. Their superior productive and adaptive traits give them a significant genetic advantage in our part of the world. And these highly desirable genetic advantages are readily passed on by Belmont Red sires to their progeny.

In selecting our sires, we chase a very specific phenotype. Essential traits for our breeding herd include:
- Good Growth Rates
- A high yielding carcass with a broad and deep top line.
- High Fertility
- A docile temperament for easy management.
We have also started to focus on selecting polled bulls so that we can sell only polled bulls. The demand for polled bulls in the north is strong and continues to grow.
The bulls we currently have on sale highlight our focus: they are moderately framed and their carcasses will be high yielding. As we see it, this is precisely what the future value-based market will demand from beef producers.
